Matilda St House 2016

Two 3 bedroom neighbouring houses rented in Eastwood, Adelaide as shared housing for recently arrived migrants. It provides a furnished and supported room in a central location at cost price, without contract or bond. Twenty Three people have called Matilda st home for varying lengths of time over a 5 year period to date. An explicitly stated commitment to ‘kindness’ as the only form of contract is a workable form of Radical Hospitality. A wider extended community of the Matilda St houses shares in an organic way cultural capital to people experiencing dislocation.
